Day 1: Compliment a Waitress and flush a toilet

Today my family and I celebrated my Mom's and my brother in law's birthdays. We went out to a restaurant to eat good food and have a good time. There were eight of us and it was a little crowded, but the waitress did an excellent job. She was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. To make sure she knew how much I appreciated her service, I gave her a slightly larger tip than normal and also wrote a special note on my receipt. I told her she did a great job and wished her a wonderful day.

After we finished eating, my sister and I went to the restroom. Like most people, I avoided the stall with the unflushed toilet and used another one. While waiting for my sister, I noticed others doing the same thing and decided to do something about it so others wouldn't have to wait. So, I took a breath and used my boot to flush the unflushed icky toilet. The next woman to come in was then able to use that stall. I would normally not do this because it grosses me out. And I already did one act of kindness for the day. But I felt inspired to push my kind limits today :)
