I've decided that my acts of kindness can include acts for myself. I just finished reading a book called 'Activate Your Goodness' and I found it to be very enlightening. It's about the effects of goodness on the world. It states that if everyone thinks good, speaks good, and does good, the world will be on a better path. We all have the potential to do good, which will not only help the world, it will also help us as individuals. One thing she points out is that we must first help ourselves. It's not selfish to help ourselves. Just like in an airplane, when the stewardess tells you to put your mask on first before helping others. Because if you're passed out from oxygen deprivation, you will not be able to help anyone! It's okay to think of yourself first! Take care of yourself so you're better able to help others. So my act of kindness today was for myself - by reading this great book. And remembering I'm important, too :)
