While these awards are great for the famous and fancy, there are no awards for everyday life and the amazing things regular people do. So, I decided to give out my own awards - the Awescars! Awards for the Awesome Everyday People and what they do. Everyone deserves to be recognized for what they contribute, because everyone does contribute something. Many people do not feel appreciated in life, work, or relationships, which is too bad. If someone you know is being awesome, let them know! If your co-worker is doing a good job, tell them! If you love your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend/family member/friend then say it all the time!
So I gave out my first Awescars today to two people at my library who I think deserve them. They are such good people and they make the library a better place. Everyone deserves to be recognized. Everyone. Any type of relationship, whether work or play, requires good communication. I choose to communicate when people are being awesome because they should be told. Who doesn't want to hear that? And you never know if that person really needs to hear it. 
I still treasure my Make It Work outie award. :)
